Patino case #1 DWI Defense case for 2012

One of the best DWI defense lawyers in the State of Minnesota, Charles Ramsey, has determined that the case of Patino v. One 2007 Chevrolet, was the #1 story of 2012 for DWI defense. The Patino case determined that pursuant to the DWI forfeiture statute, if the driver is not convicted of the “designated offense” in the corresponding criminal matter, then the State must return the vehicle to the vehicle’s owner.

Mr. Anderson represented Ms. Patino throughout this process and was ultimately able to have both the Minnesota Court of Appeals and Minnesota Supreme Court decide in his client’s favor, despite the existence of a Minnesota Court of Appeals case from 2007, Mastakoski v. 2003 Dodge Durango, holding the exact opposite.
