Client Acquitted of DWI by Chisago County Jury

On April 8, 2015, the Anderson Law Firm obtained an acquittal following a Jury Trial in Chisago County District Court for a 4th Degree DWI – Controlled Substance. Our client was accused of driving while impaired as a result of Clonazepam, which is a Schedule IV Controlled Substance under Minnesota law and is commonly known as Klonopin. This is typically prescribed as a Anti-Depressent.

The State of Minnesota accused our client of being impaired to operate a motor vehicle as a result of taking his medication. The Jury disagreed.

Also, since our client was acquitted, his driving privileges will not be suspended as a result of the charges.
