On April 1, 2013, the Minnesota Supreme Court heard the matter of Nielsen v. 2003 Honda Accord, which was argued by Kirk Anderson. The Nielsen case will require the Minnesota Supreme Court to determine whether the motor vehicle exemption is applicable to DWI forfeitures. If it is, then the Appellant will be entitled to the motor vehicle exemption of $4,600.00, even though his vehicle was forfeited due to multiple DWI offenses.
