The Minnesota Supreme Court has scheduled oral argument in the Nielsen v. 2003 Honda Accord, et al., case for Monday April 1, 2013 at 9:00 a.m., at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul, MN.
Kirk Anderson will be arguing that the motor vehicle exemption of $4,600.00 is applicable to vehicle forfeitures and that when the State attempts to forfeit an individual’s vehicle, it does so subject to the constitutionally protected exemption.
